Christie Trent, NASM-CNC
Developer, Writer, Certified Nutrition CoachHey, y'all! Thank you for coming along on this journey with me. I'm Christie, originally hailing from the rolling hills of West Virginia. After spending two decades behind a desk as a computer programmer and developer, I found myself sitting more, moving less, and eating junk! In 2020, like many of you, my life had been turned upside down.
At first, when we were sent home to work, I was in a panic! I had a distracting puppy at home, no desk, no office, no office chair, and was living in a 700 square foot studio apartment. But then, something magical happened! I had time to move more, cook more, and eat better. I started walking every day and very quickly made the life-changing decision to start eating a plant-based diet.
My motivation was to combat persistent back and hip pain, which had been present since childhood. The results were nothing short of astonishing, prompting me to share my newfound knowledge and changes with the Plant-Based Nerd Community.
But not only did I witness the vanishing of my back and hip pain but also the disappearance of seasonal allergies, chronic ear infections, and immune system whoas. My passion for understanding nutrition and fitness deepened, and I later enrolled in the National Academy of Sports Medicine where I became a Certified Nutrition Coach, and completed two specializations in Nutrition, Diet and Exercise.
For me personally, I have spent 5 years free of seasonal allergies and ear infections, and over 4 years free of chronic pain, and recently became committed to my companion animals' nutrition to help them heal as well. Nutrition has helped me to successfully reverse bowed legs from assumed Rickets and dramatically reduce their allergies, along with the need for medical injections and medications.
I hope you'll join me in this pursuit of a healthier, happier, and more vibrant life. I hope I can help you every step of the way.
With Love and Respect,
Christie Trent, NASM-CNC

Services
I offer many free resources on this site (calculators, recipes, and articles.)
I hope to provide paid memberships and one-on-one coaching
in the future. I currently work as a programmer and I would want to ensure I have time to dedicate to
anyone who needs help, so I will need time to expand those services.
As a courtesy, I do offer a 30 minute consultation to gauge your needs. This allows us to
meet for both of us to explore if we have the time and bandwidth to work together to achieve your goals.
